At 06:11 on 7 July 2025, eight fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended a commercial building fire on Hoo Hill Lane, Blackpool. Firefighters used two jets and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire involving carpets. Crews remain in attendance.

The drone is in use, so please do not fly any drones nearby as they may obstruct emergency operations
Update at 09:32am: the incident has been scaled down to three fire engines and the aerial ladder platform. Firefighters are continuing to damp down hot spots.
Update at 10:40am: the fire has now been extinguished and crews have left the scene. Firefighters were on scene for approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
