Firefighters from Darwen and Blackburn were called to reports of a domestic property fire where it was believed there was a person still inside the building on Winderton Road, Darwen. When they arrived they found the incident involved smoke from an oven. Crews made the scene safe using a ventilation unit and there was one casualty who received precautionary checks at the scene from ambulance crews. They did not attend hospital.
