At 12:02 on 29 May 2026, four fire engines and two specialist appliances from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire at Nateby Hall Road, Preston. The fire involved a twenty-seven foot pleasure boat. Firefighters used one light portable pump, one forty-five millimetre jet, a ceiling hook and freelines to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for two hours.
