At 05:57 on the 26th September 2024, six fire engines from Rawstenstall, Bacup, Hyndburn, Blackburn and Bury and Ramsbottom (from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) attended a commercial building fire on Knowsley Road, Haslingden. Firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus and are using three hose reels to extinguish the fire.
The drone team is in attendance at this incident. Please do not fly drones nearby the area as you may obstruct emergency operations.
Please avoid the area.
Update 07:30: This incident has now been reduced to four fire engines, firefighters continue to monitor and extinguish hotspots using a hose reel, a thermal imaging camera and a ventilation unit.
