At 04:44 on the 29th July 2026, six fire engines from Earby, Barnoldswick, Colne, Nelson and Burnley, an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn and the aerial support unit, attended reports of a commercial fire on Colne Road, Kelbrook.

Firefighters are using two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, crews were in attendance for several hours.
