At 18:21, four fire engines from Fulwood, Penwortham and Preston, together with an aerial ladder platform, attended a fire involving a derelict outbuilding on Garstang Road, Preston. Firefighters used two hose reels, one jet, a triple extension ladder and an aerial ladder platform to tackle a fire involving the roof space of a single-storey building measuring approximately 15 metres by 15 metres. Crews worked to establish a water supply, extinguish the fire and make the structure safe following a roof collapse. Electricity North West attended to isolate the power supply. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
