At 08:42 on 21 August 2026, two fire engines from Darwen and Bolton North attended a fire involving a bedroom at a domestic property on Bolton Road, Edgworth, Bolton. Fire crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one lock puller and one positive pressure ventilation fan to manage the incident. Crews were on scene for approximately two hours and 10 minutes.
