At 01:12 hours on 14th April 2026, several appliances from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire at Preston New Road, Freckleton. The fire involved a detached single storey domestic property. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a positive pressure ventilation fan, small tools and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. Crews remain in attendance and were on scene for several hours.
