Bob Warren awarded OBE in King's Birthday Honours List

Bob Warren, HR Lead on Pensions and North West Fire Control, has been awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours List. 

This prestigious honour recognises Bob’s exceptional contribution to the fire and rescue service over more than two decades as the Director of People and Development. His leadership in people and organisational development has shaped both local and national practice, earning him widespread respect across the sector. 

Bob joined Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service in 2001 and has since played a pivotal role in resolving complex HR challenges, supporting national negotiations with the National Employers, and leading transformative projects such as the creation of North West Fire Control—delivering over £1 million in annual savings for Lancashire. 

Chief Fire Officer Jon Charters commented: 

“Bob’s professionalism, integrity and unwavering commitment to public service have left a lasting legacy. This honour is richly deserved and reflects the high regard in which he is held across the fire and rescue sector.” 

Reflecting on the award, Bob said:
