Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) is inviting people across the county to take part in the second phase of consultation on its draft Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP).
The draft plan sets out how the Service intends to respond to current and future risks, helping to keep communities safe while ensuring resources are used effectively and sustainably. Following an initial consultation phase, feedback from residents, staff, partners and stakeholders has helped shape the proposals.
LFRS is now seeking further views on the draft plan before it is finalised and published early next year.
Jon Charters, Chief Fire Officer, said:
“Our draft plan has been shaped through consultation with our communities, staff, and partners, which helped us to understand what matters most and ensure that our priorities reflect the needs of Lancashire.
“Looking ahead, we know that risk in communities will continue to evolve. This plan aims to ensure that we are sustainable, forward-looking, responsive and ready to adapt where needed, so that we can continue to make Lancashire safer.
“Now we want to know what you think about the plan and I encourage those living and working in Lancashire to take part in this second phase of consultation. Your views at this stage will help us to refine it further, before the plan is published early next year.”
Residents, businesses, community groups and partner organisations are encouraged to review the draft plan and share their feedback.
The consultation is open until 9th October 2026. To find out more and take part, visit the consultation page on our website.
