Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Celebrates its People

On 20 November, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service celebrated the remarkable efforts of many of its most committed and skilled colleagues during a special ceremony at Mytton Fold Hotel in Langho. More than 40 individuals were recognised on the night with a variety of awards.

Long Service and Good Conduct Awards were presented to staff who have dedicated 20, 30, 35, and 45 years of exemplary service to communities across Lancashire.

A bravery commendation was also presented by Chief Fire Officer Jon Charters for a staff member’s life-saving actions while off duty, along with a certificate of appreciation to a volunteer in recognition of his many years of service with the Salvation Army Catering Unit.

The Star Awards honoured employees nominated by their peers for demonstrating the Service’s STRIVE values and the national fire and rescue ethics code, celebrating those who make a real impact on their communities and colleagues.

We also acknowledged individuals who have shown exceptional dedication to their own development, achieving academic success while undertaking challenging roles.
