At 08:39hrs, two fire crews from Bamber Bridge and Leyland responded to a road traffic collision on New Lane in Penwortham. The incident involved four cars and there was one person trapped in one of the vehicles. Crews assisted in making the scene safe and gave first aid to a casualty prior to ambulance crews arriving. Firefighters were in attendance around two hours.
