At 21:48 on the 6th August 2022, two fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended a waste fire on Stone Bridge Lane, Oswaldtwistle. The waste around five tonnes was located in a derelict building. Firefighters used two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.
