At 17:26 on the 22nd June 2023, three fire engines from Hyndburn and Darwen attended a waste fire on Stone Bridge Lane, Oswaldtwistle. Firefighters used two hose reel jets, a fog spike, a thermal imaging camera and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour and thirty minutes.
