Grade 7, Spinal Column Points 28-32, £39,152- £42,839

The role of the Information Governance Officer - Records will involve the implementation and maintenance of all aspects of the Information Governance Policy within LFRS with a primary focus on records management; working within a number of frameworks concerning compliance, information governance, best practice and legislation. They will also need to maintain a high level of expertise in Records Management and Information Governance issues through research and liaison with Information Governance colleagues from other Fire and Rescue Services, Local Authorities and partner agencies.

The successful candidate will be educated to A level standard or hold an equivalent level 3 qualification in an appropriate subject area or hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification or have experience of working in Records Manager role. They will also have an in depth understanding and knowledge of Information Governance practices and issues such as handling Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests as well as more complex data protection queries.
